ABOUT
George Willard is a reporter for the Winesburg Eagle. Throughout his childhood in the rural town of Winesburg, he encounters many grotesques—old and rich, drunk and fat, young and beautiful. Each resident shares their vulnerable truths with the audience, a vital coming-of-age exploration of loss, adolescence, loneliness, and isolation.
Adapted from the novel and short story cycle Winesburg, Ohio, first published in 1919, Winesburg offers an intimate encounter with the residents of a small midwestern town. This intimate experience is limited to 6 audience members per performance.
Performances at St. John's Nursery School, 4 Fountain Square, Larchmont.
The runtime is 85 minutes.
