ABOUT LINEAGE
An experimental drama tracing three generations of men – William, Liam and Jack – as they confront the addictions that shape and bind them. Through interwoven timelines and folk music, Lineage reveals how obsession, substance abuse and control emerge from the same inherited impulse. As Jack struggles to care for his unravelling father, he is forced to question whether love can truly save someone, or if it means learning to let go. Lineage is a raw, character-driven exploration of masculinity and inheritance that asks if we can ever outrun the ghosts of our fathers.

Alex is the founder and Artistic Director of Valley Road Theatre Company. With the company, he has directed The Lieutenant of Inishmore, The Cherry Orchard, Machinal, Crypt, No Darkness, Winesburg, The Call of Cthulhu, Sheffield Scientific, and GILGAMESH SPACE MAN. The company has been touted as "Reason to celebrate" by No Proscenium and "A rousing success" by The Yale Herald. Additional directing experience includes Legally Blonde at Mamaroneck High School and internships with Third Rail Projects, Hendel Productions, and Classic Stage Company. JADEN NICITA (Jack, Writer)
Jaden Nicita is an actor and writer from Brunswick, Maine and a student at Yale University studying Theater, Dance, and Performance Studies and Philosophy. Yale credits include Urinetown (Bobby Strong), Into the Woods (Cinderella's Prince/Wolf), Merrily We Roll Along (Charley), The Shape of Things (Phillip), and performances with the Yale Artists Cabaret. Professional credits include The Sound of Music (Friedrich) at Maine State Music Theatre. Beyond the stage, Jaden is a singer-songwriter and performs with the Yale Alley Cats, serving as the group's President. He is thrilled to be making his Edinburgh Fringe debut with this remarkable team. He dedicates this play to his incredible grandparents, whose unwavering love, strength, and sacrifices have made every opportunity in his life possible, and to whom he will be forever grateful. OWEN PINHASI (Production Stage Manager)
Owen is a Junior in Yale College majoring in Physics (Intensive) and pursuing the Energy Studies certificate. He started doing lights for theater in high school and has increasingly fallen in love with theater since! He is the Yale Dramatic Association's Treasurer, and works as a Peer Mentor for undergraduate production and as the Shen Curriculum Assistant. Outside of theater, Owen works at teh Carbon Containment Lab, and loves sailing, crocheting, and playing board games with friends.
AUGUST RIVERS (William, Writer)
August Rivers is an actor from Reston, Virginia, and a student at Yale University studying Theater, Dance, and Performance Studies. Yale theater credits include Cabaret (Cliff Bradshaw), Urinetown (Hot Blades Harry), and performances with the Yale Artists Cabaret. Ballet credits include Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and The Nutcracker with Greater Washington Dance Center’s youth troupe. August also performs with the Yale Alley Cats, where he serves as the group’s Assistant Music Director. He is incredibly excited to bring this piece to the Fringe alongside such an outstanding team!
EASON RYTTER (Liam, Writer)
Eason Rytter is an actor and writer from New York City and a student at Yale University studying English and Film. Yale credits include Into The Woods (Rapunzel's Prince/Wolf) with the Yale Dramat, Kilele at the David Geffen School of Drama, and Black and Blue Boys/Broken Men (Sean). He is the proud co-writer, performer, and producer of VRTC's Sheffield Scientific. Screen credits include No Hard Feelings (Sony Pictures), The Loudest Voice (Showtime Blumhouse), and How To Be Single (Warner Bros./New Line), plus voice work for Nickelodeon, Macmillan, and Hachette. He trained at LAMDA and is a 2022 U.S. Presidential Scholar in the Arts. He sings baritone with the Yale Wiffenpoofs, the world's oldest a cappella group, where he serves as Associate Business Manager, and is thrilled to make his Edinburgh Fringe debut with this remarkable team.
